New proposals from Transport of London (TfL) mean:

  • 100 bus is left going through Wapping.
  • Spitalfields residents will find it harder to reach the Isle of Dogs
  • No step-free access at Wapping Station means it will be much harder for disabled residents to leave the area
  • Fewer links to the rest of the borough

Residents will be forced to wait longer, in more crowded buses and less easily reach services like surgeries, hospitals and schools- all while the local population is rising.

These proposals are a result of Boris Johnson’s Conservatives’ harsh spending cuts on TfL.  Once again, Conservative cuts are hitting Islands residents hard.
