It has been an honour to serve Tower Hamlets for 25 years as councillor, Cabinet Member, and Deputy Mayor. I have always worked hard to be fair and deliver for residents.
As a Bethnal Green councillor, proud council tenant, and parent raising a family here, I know the struggles too well.
My priority is building more council homes and creating safer, cleaner neighbourhoods. I believe in strong communities — not just bricks and mortar.
With experience in the NHS, local government, and voluntary sector, I understand how public services should work and how to fix them when they fail.
Under Mayor Lutfur Rahman, the council has failed inspections by the government and external audits – costing millions of pounds of public money. It’s time to turn the page on his failure.
If I am elected as your Mayor I will lead a council that works for everyone — no favourites, no division, no failure – just delivery.
