I’ve lived in the ward on Mile End Road for over 20 years and work closely with local environmental groups and litter clearing campaigns. I have a strong understanding of local issues and what residents expect from their council.
I work as an environmental policy consultant and previously spent many years as a senior civil servant on environmental policy, giving me deep experience of how national government systems operate and how to make large bureaucracies deliver results.
I’m proud of helping to make UK and European agriculture policy more environmentally focused and of pushing for the creation of the Office for Environmental Protection. I’m committed to ensuring younger residents have a stronger voice in local decision making and that environmental issues are taken seriously for the long term.
